OPERATIONS RESEARCH
COURSE OBJECTIVE
Provide knowledge of optimization techniques and approaches. Formulate a real-world problem as a mathematical programming model. Enable the students to apply mathematical, computational, and communication skills needed for the practical utility of Operations Research. Knowledge to solve networking problems. Knowledge to solve various inventory problems. Gain knowledge on solving different waiting line models.
Course: This course is designed to provide knowledge and training in using optimization techniques under limited resources for engineering and business problems. The course will consist of 5 units each consisting of 5 videos. Each lecture consists of specific concepts relevant to engineering problems in all domains. An attempt to made to cover the topic by use of PowerPoint presentations with case studies. The online class activities with quizzes and hands-on assignments for increasing the student's curiosity and desire to know more about the subject and various operation research concepts. Upon completion of this course, The students can able to use the optimization techniques for using engineering and Business problems
